An opportunity to run drama, music and creative play classes for children aged 2-5 years.
The program offers children with opportunities to explore real and imagined worlds through the medium of drama. Guided by the session leader, children take on a number of different roles within a variety of dramas - space explorers flying to the moon to catch stars, parents taking their sick baby to the doctors, children buying a new pair of shoes or baby dragons lost in the jungle for example.
Every session uses music and song to bring make believe worlds to life and encourages children to enjoy the huge benefits of creative play.
The program can be delivered in schools, nurseries and playgroups and supports the current requirements of the National Curriculum.
After the first year, a fee of £700 is required to renew the contract. Franchisees should fund a CRB check (£36) and ensure Public Liability insurance is in place (approx £160).
As a guide, franchisees could earn in between £48 and £60 per session (before room hire costs) and between £32 - £40 for sessions taken in a nursery or playgroup (no room hire costs involved).
Extra income can be generated through the sales of CD's and T shirts.
After initial training, each franchisee is assigned a 'buddy' who will be on hand to offer ongoing advice, support and encouragement for as long as the franchisee needs.
Potential franchisees should take pleasure in singing, dancing, telling stories and should have the confidence to lead groups of children (and their parents!) in drama and creative play. A background or interest in drama would be ideal (this may simply be a love of drama at school) and potential franchisees should have a warm and friendly personality that would appeal to young children.
