My Little Wrapper is an opportunity to run your own personalised chocolate bar business - ideal for weddings, parties, christenings, charity events and the corporate market etc.
It's a 'business in a box' that you can take away and run from home. You can spend just a few hours a week on it, or put more hours in if you like - it fits in perfectly around caring for your children and being a great mum. You provide chocolate bars with a beautiful personalized wrapper - they're perfect for childrens parties, weddings, fundraising and even the corporate market.
Seriously, for anyone looking to earn good money running their own part-time business with no ties or obligations then this is perfect.
How often do you work?
I am in complete control of the business, so depending on how much word of mouth I spread to promote the business, the flow of orders can increase or decrease for when it suits me. I always take on ad hoc orders, it's not wise to turn business away.
How does the job fit around your family life?
It fits in perfectly with my home and my full time job in customer service as well!
How much roughly did the franchise cost you?
Buying the business cost me £1801.00. I believe there is a special offer on for mums and working customers though.
What did that investment buy?
I have just received a large order with a corporate company for 2000 personalised bars to promote their product launch, which is excellent news. This will pay back the investment in full, as well as enable me to have a lovely holiday to Mexico later this year.
Do you get support/training?
The My Little Wrapper support team are excellent with any queries or questions I had and gave lots of support and encouragement. You can also log on to the Forum and speak with other My Little Wrapper people which is really nice to keep in touch and see how others are doing.
Are there on-going costs?
No
How much do you earn (roughly)?
I make between £1 and £1.50 per bar.
Do you advertise?
It's all done through word of mouth, and you'll be surprised how many doors this opens. At this stage I don't want to be paying out lots on advertising, but if I do decide to give up my day job and turn this in to something more commercial then I would consider advertising and joining forces with party companies.
What is the best thing about My Little Wrapper for you?
There are many things. The main one is that the business fits in with my lifestyle and bumps up my income amazingly. I also enjoy networking and meeting new people who I can show the fantastic designs to - as they usually place an order for their son's birthday or friends wedding or baby shower. I get a feeling of great achievement when I present the wrappers to my customers. Seeing how pleased they are is worth all the wrapping! Oh, and I forgot to mention, the other great thing is the taste of the chocolate which is delicious!
Are there any downsides to the job?
Wrapping lots of bars for big orders, such as the one I've got for 2000, can be hard going but the family really enjoy helping, it all becomes good fun when everyone is sat around the table making conversation and learning whilst wrapping. I never thought a business venture would mean I got to spend really good quality time with the family - ooops I'm talking about the best things again aren't I?!
Would you recommend this franchise opportunity to other Mums?
Definitely. Whether you don't work, work part time or full time, this business fits around your life and enables you to afford some extra treats in life.
