Our tips to find the best direct selling job for you

What interests you? You can turn your hobby into your job!  There are such a wide range of party plan jobs, cookery, books, clothes, cosmetics, toys, jewellery, house hold products, the choice is yours.

Can you sell? If you love talking to people and can be enthuastic you are half way there!

Minimal outlay. Direct selling only requires a very modest initial investment to start your own business - often less than £100. A bargain when you consider the average start up cost for a small UK business working from home is around £5,000. Your direct selling investment usually includes a range of the products, catalogues and other material.

Consider when you will work. Who are your customers and how will you meet them.  Evening parties, local fairs and even toddler groups are all opportunities for direct selling as well as door to door. There is often training from an area manager to get you started in the right direction and then ongoing support.

Do you need a car? This depends on what you will be selling.  If this is a problem for you then go for a product that is small and light such as jewellery or cosmetics. Remember that Anita Roddick founded The Body Shop by filling her bike basket up with a few home made products and selling them directly before she opened that first famous shop in Brighton.

Are you organised? Booking parties, taking the right things with you, placing orders, delivering orders will all require exceptional organisation skills.

Go direct using our local search above to find your local contact so you can easily meet up for a chat about the job.
